Can Spending on Education Improve the Economy?

Botswana's Deputy Secretary-General Mmasekgoa Masire-Mwamba say the challenge for Botswana is moving from government control to private sector involvement in the economy, and that government spending on education thus far does not have as direct an impact on economic development as it does today in Singapore.
So far, Botswana has been able to add more then 3,000 jobs by diversifying the country's government-controlled diamond industry. Masire-Mwamba also points out that Botswana has zero corruption tolerance.
